The BS overlay text template places text on a semi-transparent background onto a Route diagram template. It is useful in situations where text would be otherwise unreadable.

Adding either or both of the optional parameters |b

will bold or italicize the display.
The optional parameter |w=

, sets the width of the white box in ems. The default is 1.5

The optional parameter |bg=
, changes the color and opacity of the background. The default is 255,255,255,.6
(RGB color 255,255,255, 60% opacity).
All standard wikitext markup can be used.
Notes
edit- This template only works with {{Routemap}}, not with the deprecated {{BS-map}} RDT formatting.
- The characters !~* must precede the template so that it correctly overlays the icons.
