Cite New HIP red./doc is a template that was designed to provide a consistent and neat citation for the Validation of the New Hipparcos Reduction.

This paper used to be the main source for astronomical object's astrometry until the launch of the Gaia spacecraft in 2013. Even afterwards, a few astronomical objects, especially stars, still use it to this day. To use this template, simply put {{Cite New HIP red.}} into the reflist of your article. It will then generate a citation for the aforementioned paper.
