Template:Contributions phrase/doc

This template may be used to supply variations of the "one or more of your contributions" phrase used by many of the standard user warning templates. It allows you to make the conditional phrase declarative (has been instead of may have been undone), and to indicate how many edits you are talking about (1 to 5, many, most, all, etc.) along with proper verb agreement.

Usage

Parameters

There is one optional unnamed parameter:

|1= – a keyword describing the number of user edits being warned about; this affects the contributions phrase as follows:

• 1 or one or only : "your contribution ... has been undone because it"
• any of: 2|3|4|5|two|three|four|five|many|most|several|all : "<keyword> of your contributions ... have been undone because they"
• anything else, or omitted: "one or more of your contributions ... may have been undone because they"

Note that not passing the parameter, or passing an invalid value, is the same as not transcluding the template, in warning templates that use this phrase; i.e., omitting the param matches current usage.

• {{Contributions phrase|article=Foo}} → one or more of your recent contributions to Foo may have been undone because they
• {{Contributions phrase|one|article=Foo}} → your recent contribution to Foo has been undone because it
• {{Contributions phrase|4|article=Bar}} → 4 of your recent contributions to Bar have been undone because they
• {{Contributions phrase|five}} → five of your recent contributions have been undone because they
• {{Contributions phrase|5|article=Quint}} → 5 of your recent contributions to Quint have been undone because they
• {{Contributions phrase|many|article=Manioc}} → many of your recent contributions to Manioc have been undone because they   (legal value; so are 'most', 'all'))
• {{Contributions phrase|6}} → one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they   (5 is the largest numeric value; invalid input gets the default)
