Description

{{DFDb company}} is a template used to generate an external link to an entry for a company in the Danish Film Database. In an article, it should only be used in the "External links" section.

For a person, use {{DFDb name}}.

For a work (film/movie, TV or Web program/series, video game, etc.), use {{DFDb title}}.

Usage

The required parameter is the ID string. The template then uses the article title as the anchor text:

* {{DFDb company|ID}}

To have the anchor text be other than the article name, use the second parameter:

* {{DFDb company|ID|Name}}

This is necessary when adding a Danish Film Database link to an article about somebody or something other than the linked company (for example, if you include the Danish Film Database link for Zentropa on a talk page, you must specify Zentropa's name as the text for the link).

Detailed instructions

Basic

1. Copy and paste * {{DFDb company|ID}} into the article's "External links" section.
2. Go to https://www.dfi.dk/en/search?query=&additional%5Bgrouping%5D=filmdatabase_company and search for the company you want, say, Nimbus Film; you'll reach https://www.dfi.dk/en/search?additional%5Bgrouping%5D=filmdatabase_company&query=Nimbus+Film.
3. Click on Nimbus Film in the result list; this will bring up the page https://www.dfi.dk/en/viden-om-film/filmdatabasen/selskab/nimbus-film.
4. Copy only the last part of the URL (here, nimbus-film).
5. Replace ID in the template code with nimbus-film.

You'll then have

* {{DFDb company|nimbus-film}} which in the article Nimbus Film results in:

• Nimbus Film in the Danish Film Database

With anchor text

1. Copy and paste * {{DFDb company|ID|Name}} into the article's "External links" section.
2. Go to https://www.dfi.dk/en/search?query=&additional%5Bgrouping%5D=filmdatabase_company and search for the company you want, say, Zeitgeist; you'll reach https://www.dfi.dk/en/search?additional%5Bgrouping%5D=filmdatabase_company&query=Zeitgeist.
3. Click on Zeitgeist in the result list; this will bring up the page https://www.dfi.dk/en/viden-om-film/filmdatabasen/selskab/zeitgeist.
4. Copy only the last part of the URL (here, zeitgeist).
5. Replace ID in the template code with zeitgeist, and replace Name with Zeitgeist.

You'll then have

* {{DFDb company|zeitgeist|Zeitgeist}} which in the article Zeitgeist (company) results in:
