This produces a single row in a table at WP:DYKSTATS.
Usage
edit
- Article title: Full title of the article, with no wikitext
- File name: If the hook had an image, its filename goes here—again, no wikitext, templates, or the file handler, just the file name with its extension. Leave blank if none; no space, just blank!
- DYK date: The date the article appeared on DYK—note that if you are looking from WP:Recent additions, the DYK date is the date atop the set that was before the hook ran, since hooks are archived by when they are taken off the main page.
- Views: The number of views the hook got—make sure to subtract any background views if necessary.
- Views per hour: The previous value, divided by the number of hours the hook was on the main page.
- Hook: Full text of the hook, with any relevant wikitext.
- Background views: If there are latent views from previous days (usually determined by averaging the two days prior to the DYK date), include them here—the template will show a footnote.
Example:

Produces:
Article | Date | Image | views | vph | DYK hook |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
John Oliver Memorial Sewer Plant | October 10, 2021 | 27,144 | 1,131.0 | ... that after John Oliver remarked that "the city of Danbury, Connecticut, can eat my whole ass", they named a sewage plant after him? |
