1962 Major League Baseball expansion
edit- ... that the 1962 Major League Baseball expansion was first announced by the National League in 1960, before the announcement of the American League's 1961 expansion?

- This article is new enough, long enough (over 7,500 characters), and generally within policy (it is neutral, well written, well cited, and free of any apparent copyright issues). However, because I do not have access to the two print sources that are used as references, I am accepting those two in good faith. The hook is short enough, somewhat interesting, neutral, and properly supported by citations in the article (because they are to the Jozsa, Jr. book to which I do not have access, however, I am accepting them in good faith).
- Honestly, I think there are more interesting things mentioned in the article than when the expansion was announced, such as the proposed Continental League, antitrust allegations, and the fact that Houston chose an NL franchise over an AL one (which seems ironic now that the Astros have moved to the AL). The current hook is not bad, though, so I'll leave any potential changes up to the discretion of the nominator.
- Also, QPQ has been done. Once again accepting the print sources in good faith, I think that this article is good to go. Nice work! Michael Barera (talk) 03:00, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
