2012 Siachen Glacier avalanche
edit- ... that at least 135 people are missing or dead after a massive avalanche struck a Pakistani Army headquarters on the morning of 7 April near the so-called highest battlefield in the world?

- The hook doesn't even link to the article, which might be considered a bit pointless, but more fundamentally it seems to me that as this is about a current event it would be more appropriate for the In the news section of the Main Page. I suggest you take it there. Prioryman (talk) 22:43, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- D'oh! Fixed that. As for newsiness—the other DYK that I have written was also a news event (Ghadames raid), and it went through fine. But if it's really necessary, I'll take this elsewhere. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 22:47, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
