edit( )
- ... that USA Today predicts that the 2013–14 Harvard Crimson men's basketball team will be a number eight seed in the 2014 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament?

5x expanded by TonyTheTiger (talk). Self nominated at 15:50, 28 October 2013 (UTC).
- Can we get this reviewed in time to be on the main page for the November 10 season opener?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 15:53, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
- While this article technically meets the DYK-requirements when it comes to length and date of expansion and nomination, it does fail the supplementary guideline D7, as the article is not complete. It discusses the pre-season, and expectation ahead of the coming season, but nothing about the actual season, obviously, since the season hasn't started yet. If add that the hook is dull and not a tad interesting, I don't see any good reasons why we should approve this nomination. I'm not saying that this should be rejected no matter how much you improve the article, but it needs more flesh to not look like a "work in progress" and you need a more interesting hook. - D7 is not a reason to fail a college basketball season article at the beginning of the season. I usually put a couple of these through DYK every year and no one has ever raised that objection. I am trying to find some more interesting content, however.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:27, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- (ALT1) ... that 2013–14 Harvard Crimson men's basketball team recruit Zena Edosomwan is the first Harvard basketball recruit rated among the top 100 players in the country by Scout.com?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:52, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- Note prior fall or earlier DYKs of 2010–11 Princeton Tigers men's basketball team, 2008–09 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, 2009–10 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, 2010–11 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, 2011–12 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, 2012–13 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team, and 2011–12 Harvard Crimson men's basketball team. I think the Michigan ones differ from the Harvard and Princeton ones by recruiting content. That is what I have added to this year's Harvard content.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:51, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
- Reminder that this is a date request for the 10th.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 15:22, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry about my belated reply. I've been searching for similar articles, where the DYKSG#D7-concern has been raised, to see what has been done previously (as stated above, that noone has commented on this before, doesn't mean that it isn't a problem). In the Template:Did you know nominations/2012-13 Arsenal F.C. season, the same concern was raised, but the DYK-veteran Bluemoonset stated that such articles were ok. To return to this nomination, I believe that the content added suffice and the hook is much more interesting. Good to go. Mentoz86 (talk) 19:24, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
