369th Regiment Armory
- ... that the 369th Regiment Armory, built in two architectural styles, housed the "Harlem Hellfighters", the first New York National Guard unit constituted solely on race? Source: Todd, p. 249; NYCLPC, p. 1
- ALT1:... that the 369th Regiment Armory, built for the "Harlem Hellfighters", was planned as a boxing and gymnastic venue in the unsuccessful 2012 New York City Olympic bid? Source: NY Times 2005

- Article is long enough, expanded sufficiently and nominated within date. It is well sourced and cited, meets all policies. Nothing significant on the copyvio, and QPQ has been done. There are free use images in the article that could be used in the lead slot, but that I leave to the discretion of the nominator/promoter to queues. Parts of the hooks check out in accessible sources, AGF on the offline elements. ALT0 seems to me to mix two varied elements that don't neccesarily relate, but either would be quite strong on their own. I.e:
- ALT2: ... that the 369th Regiment Armory housed the "Harlem Hellfighters", the first New York National Guard unit constituted solely on race?
- ALT3: ... that the 369th Regiment Armory was built in two architectural styles, Art Deco and Medieval?
- ALT3 appeals as I find it striking that two such disparate styles centuries apart were combined in the one site. But happy to leave this to the nominator's preferences, and/or the promoter to queue. Spokoyni (talk) 03:33, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
- Spokoyni, thanks for the review. I am fine with either of your proposed hooks, though per DYK rules, we will need another person to approve them if we go with these. epicgenius (talk) 19:42, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

- Hi, I came by to promote ALT1, which looks fine to me and is covered by Spokoyni's review. But the building for the Harlem Hellfighters is only mentioned in the lead, without an inline cite. Yoninah (talk) 23:10, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Oops. I have fixed that now. epicgenius (talk) 00:20, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
