- ... that, prior to their promotion in 2022, Italian football club A.C. Monza had played in 40 Serie B seasons without playing in the Serie A, more than any other team in Italy? Source: Stadium Astro

Overall: Awaiting qpq; am pretty sure back in the glory days of Football Italia they didn't call it "the Serie A", just "Serie A" — is the "the" necessary? Also, can't access the hook citation, just spins and spins, but AGF on that; qpq now done (plus I can now access the original hook ref (no. 133!), which checks out); good to go with the original hook, thanks, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 18:31, 25 June 2022 (UTC) Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 21:19, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Maculosae tegmine lyncis: Weird, the Goal.com link opens easily for me. I've added an ESPN link. To me, it sounds weird calling it "Serie A". It's akin to saying "Manchester United play in Premier League". Also, the league itself uses "the" (legaseriea.it). Which of the two hooks do you prefer, btw? Nehme1499 18:40, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
- I've added the QPQ. Nehme1499 18:55, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, looks like there's usage within and without wiki both with and without "the", so as you prefer; I prefer the original, more detailed hook; thanks, interesting article, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 21:19, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'd just like to point out the pleasing symmetry in that "Serie A" and "Serie B" are both mentioned exactly 39 times in the article, best as I can tell. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 12:04, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
