  • The hook fact is in the article but looking at the source cited, the fact is not borne out in the abstract of the paper. It might be borne out by the full text, but it would probably be better to choose a different hook.Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:17, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that the golden wattle (pictured) was proclaimed the floral emblem of Australia on 1st September 1988, and in 1992 this date was formally declared "National Wattle Day"? Oceanh (talk) 17:57, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
  • This newly promoted GA is long enough and new enough. The ALT1 hook is cited appropriately and the image is correctly licensed. I detected no policy issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:24, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
