Acer ferrignoi

edit
  • ... that the extinct maple Acer ferrignoi was described from five fossils residing in the NMNH? Source: "Acer ferrignoi Lolo pass USGS 9737 Leaf USNM 396125-396128, 396130" (Wolfe & Tanai 1987)

  • Comment: The paragraph in the "Description" section has no citations. Mindmatrix 18:39, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Fixed--Kevmin § 18:57, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
  • This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I find the hook uninteresting; more interesting, in my opinion, would be where the fossils were found or why the species was so named. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:46, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Alt1 that Acer ferrignoi was named for James Ferrigno, who supplied access to Smithsonian fossils to scientists describing the extinct maple?
  • How about this?--Kevmin § 00:38, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you. I consider Alt1 is more interesting and have struck the original hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:45, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
