Aeroflot accidents and incidents in the 1980s
edit- ... that the deadliest accident Aeroflot ever experienced occurred in July 1985 , when a Tupolev Tu-154B-2 stalled en route and crashed near Uchkuduk in the Uzbek SSR, killing all 200 people aboard?

- The article size and date are acceptable, however there are some serious concerns here. First, the hook, while accurate, isn't quite...appropriate to the article, for want of a better term. The article is about crashes in the 1980s, while the hook refers to crashes all-time. More seriously, I'd question whether this source, used in the article's prose, is a reliable source. - The Bushranger One ping only 06:47, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- I have removed the dubious reference from the article, and modified the lead section as well. Now, the figures mentioned in the prose for the two worst accidents that occurred in the decade are compared with the events that took place in the decade only. I believe comparing figures for different decades is worth mentioning in Aeroflot accidents and incidents, not here. Thanks for pointing this out. Regarding the text of the hook, I'm providing an alternative form right below, with slight modifications. Having 195 characters, I hope this new one will be of your liking. Thanks for your comments.--Jetstreamer (talk) 14:39, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

- That looks much better. :) I do have one concern though about whether or not the last paragraph of the lede (listing the numbers of each type lost) needs to be referenced or not; technically it is, but it is just collecting data referenced in the table. Can another reviewer provide an opinion? - The Bushranger One ping only 18:42, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- According to WP:LEAD, it is a summary of the TOC below it. This hook was passed including much the same information.--Jetstreamer (talk) 18:52, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
- Good enough for me, looks good to go. - The Bushranger One ping only 18:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
