Al-Fadl ibn al-Rabi'
edit( )
- ... that the Abbasid vizier al-Fadl ibn al-Rabi' was the main instigator of the civil war between the brothers, and rival caliphs, al-Ma'mun and al-Amin?

- The article is long enough, and new enough, well sourced (ADF on offline sources). The hook, however, occurs only in the lede and doesn't have an inline citation, or any citation at all inside the article. Also, it would be helpful to those not very familiar with Abbasid history if you expanded in the hook just a bit about Who is Amin and Maamun. Yazan (talk) 04:39, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- The hook is cited, although in a more periphrastic manner, in the "Assessment" section. I've re-phrased it a bit to make it more explicit. On explaining who Amin and Ma'mun were, perhaps we could add "brothers and rival caliphs"? Or do you have any other suggestion? Constantine ✍ 06:33, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
