Alex Lely
edit- ... that Dutch pool player Alex Lely won the 1999 World Pool Masters, and collected autographs from each of his opponents? Source: Lely Joins Legends For World Pool Masters XXV - Matchroom Pool

@Lee Vilenski: The usual criteria are all good, though for the text in itself have some issues:
- I can't seem to check the Mosconi Cup team - is it hidden behind a paywall?
- Azbilliards contains a paywall for old events. They were very kind and provided me with an account for this purpose. Do I just need to tag as paywall? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:17, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Similarly, I have no idea where it mentioned Lely beating Bustamante.
- So the Euro Tour website is quite odd. Certain event pages link back to the main eurotour page. I'll see if I can source this to the actual event page. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:22, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- "Despite surprisingly winning the following years event" - do you meant the "previous years' event"?
- I do indeed! Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:17, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not sure which source is for this: "he would finish in the quarter-finals in both 2004 and 2005, before not appearing in the competition in 2007"
- I'll source this to propool, which lists historic matches. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:22, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- The 8-4 Pagulayan loss is not in the citation - or am I just not reading it correctly?
- You're right! I'll add the sourcing. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:22, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
I think some inline citation placements should really resolve most of this - just a bit confusing when I try to verify. Juxlos (talk) 18:54, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
If the inline cites stuff can be done so Juxlos's concerns are resolve, I really like this one. It's cute and has a nice "human interest" feel to it. PS: Event titles don't go in italics (MOS:TITLES, MOS:ITALICS). — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 19:11, 7 March 2019 (UTC)- I agree! He clearly hit the ground running as a pool player in 1999. I'll update the above as soon as I can. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:14, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- I have now fixed the issues above. I will tag paywalls over time. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 21:43, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
