Alexandre Maspoli
- ... that weightlifter Alexandre Maspoli (pictured), who won a medal at the 1906 Intercalated Games, later competed in the sculpture event at the 1924 Summer Olympics? Source: [1]- for 1906, [2] - for 1924
- ALT1:... that after the First World War, weightlifter Alexandre Maspoli (pictured), who won a medal at the 1906 Intercalated Games, built war memorials? Source: [3] (note: 1906 Olympics is another name for 1906 Intercalated Games)

- Article meets DYK and sourcing requirements, no close paraphrasing found, QPQ provided. ALT1's hook fact is verified, assuming good faith for the sources used in ALT0 (which is my preferred hook). Just a quick question before I approve this: is there no known information about his personal and later life? The article seems incomplete right now since there's no mention of either. - The coverage of people, especially sportspeople, at this time seems sparce, and I cannot find much biographical information about him. Even the French article about him has no biographical information, and I tried the Bibliothèque nationale de France too, and this had one source on a sculpture which I've added. I agree that it's a shame there isn't any online sources with more biographical content. With a bit of recent expansion, this article does cover time periods 1902-1907, and 1920-1938, which is a significant part of his life. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:55, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Noted. I guess if there's really no known sources about his personal and later life, then I guess there's really nothing we can do about that. The only remaining issue is that the DOB and DOD are both unreferenced in the article; the nomination will be good to go once that's addressed. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:08, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
