- Nominator did not supply sources and quotes for either hook according to the guidelines. Please do so and let me know asap. For a template on how to do this please see Template:Did you know nominations/Billy Jamieson. Thank you. Dr. K. 22:14, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dr.K.: Sources appended. Nonmodernist (talk) 22:27, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Nonmodernist: Given that a quote was supplied, main hook accepted. AGF on ALT1, since no quotes given for that hook and source is only available through a snipet that does not include all the information in ALT1. As a final request I would like to ask that page numbers be specified for Motion Picture Story Magazine, The Etude Magazine and Moving Picture News.
- @Dr.K.:Sources above elaborated, page numbers added to citations on article. Nonmodernist (talk) 15:14, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Nonmodernist: Thank you for the update and for adding the page numbers. I have verified most things mentioned in the hooks doing research on my own. Terms like "prima donna" and "soprano" do not appear on the hook quotes, but I have verified them independently. One thing I have not explicitly verified is that she was "on a break from her operatic career when she was doing her Ph.D." Any quotes from sources for that? Thanks again. Dr. K. 21:07, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Dr.K.: For ALT0, she sang in Berlin in 1911 (Moving Picture News (1911). MBRS Library of Congress. Cinematograph Publishing Company. August 12, 1911. p. 22.), earned the degree in 1913 ...she was granted the degree of doctor of philosophy in the political science department of Columbia University, and was back to singing around 1919 (The Musician. 24. Hatch Music Company. 1919. pp. Twelve.). If that's not enough, I've provided ALT2 below. Nonmodernist (talk) 21:50, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
- ALT2:... that Alma Webster Powell (pictured) earned a law degree from New York University while on a break from her operatic career? An enforced rest, on account of a nervous breakdown, was utilized to study law at the New York University, where she was graduated with the degree of LL.B. in 1900.
