Java in a Time of Revolution: Occupation and Resistance, 1944-1946. p. 453.: "Anwar wrote a number of very popular, subtly satirical articles about the evils of the occupation under the pseudonym Bang Bedjat" - Bang Bedjat translates to "Mr. Pervert"
