Arthur Rook (dermatologist)
edit- ... that Arthur Rook and Ian Whimster wrote important articles on keratoacanthoma and blistering skin diseases?
- Reviewed: Eucalyptus exserta
Alt1... that, the common keratoacanthoma was coined by Walter Freudenthal, but officially first used by Arthur Rook and Ian Whimster?

The first hook is based on the importance of the papers by Rook and Whimster in drawing attention to the fact that this was a common condition and this is clear in the article. Suggest the following minor amendments : 1. Change 'director of sugar...' to 'director of the sugar division...' despite what is written in the DNB. 2.There should be a link to keratoacanthoma. 3. Include date of Rook's MB graduation. 4. Add the fact that keratoacanthoma was the subject of his 1950 MD thesis. I don't think Alt1 is appropriate as it is not clear why the term was coined by one author but 'officially first used' by others.Papamac (talk) 13:39, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

- @Whispyhistory: Suggest 'qualifying MB BChir in 1942 and graduating MD in 1950 with a thesis on keratoacanthoma and blistering eruptions.' (ref Oxford DNB https://doi.org/10.1093/ref:odnb/49944).
- Some other points. 1. Note that the DNB gives his dob as 15 May 1918 (not 1915) and this confirmed at Family Search. 2. Pemphigus and pemphigoid in mid sentence should not be capitalised. 3. Suggest link to BDA Wikipedia article and add his name to list of presidents there. 4 Images of him in BJD and at BDA - is fair use of these possible? Papamac (talk) 09:30, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
