Australamphilina elongata

edit
  • ... that the adult tapeworm Australamphilina elongata is found in a freshwater turtle, but how its eggs emerge from the host's body cavity is unknown? Source: "It is unclear exactly how the eggs of the worm are released in the water, but once they do, larvae hatch out and find a young crayfish"

I would recommend the first hook, as that is most interesting. however the source should be quoted and you would need a better source than a blog i presume.

  • @Wikiman5676: The author of the blog is Klaus Rohde, Professor of Zoology Emeritus at the University of New England. He has hundreds of papers on parasites to his name, the top one being cited by 1335 others. I think we might call him an expert. I have added the quote above (this is optional and not obligatory). Yes i know it wasn't obligatory, I just thought it was weird you had the generic script there instead of the quote. Yes, it seems you are correct Klaus Rohde is a notable figure and blogs from him are acceptable per WP:USENET

@Wikiman5676: in future, please use the check marks {{y}} and {{n}} to check off the criteria, and the DYK icon for your summation. It's easier for the promoter and the bot. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 00:47, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, it was my first time reviewing a DYK. Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Wikiman5676 (talk) 01:57, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
