Babylon's Ashes (The Expanse)
- ... that characters from several different science fiction media appear as an easter egg in the episode "Babylon's Ashes"? Source: https://screenrant.com/expanse-season-6-finale-battle-scifi-characters-easter-eggs/

- A bit hesitant about this at the moment. First, you have to deal with the orphan tag (should be easy enuf). Second, it seems that much of the material is uncited and related to the fictitious aspects of the episode -- not sure if that ought to count towards the 1500 character mark, in which case this article would surely not pass. The overall referencing is skimpy. Kingoflettuce (talk) 00:43, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- I know zilch about the series but a quick Google search makes me wonder if the episode on its own is even notable to begin with, much less DYK-worthy. Hmm Kingoflettuce (talk) 00:49, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- I understand your points, @Kingoflettuce:. The orphan issue has been resolved (linked to the book the ep is drawn from, as well as linked to the series and episode list). As well, you will notice that the uncited part you referred to is the plot summary, which is exempt from citation. The article is still being developed - the talk page lists a number of sources that others can use to expand both the production and reception sections - there is a time limit for submission of DYK hooks. Those hooks bring eyes and editors to the page to help further develop the article out. I am also developing out those sections as time permits.
- Lastly, I'm sorry you don't know about the series; its considered one of the best scifi series in the past decade; you might want to watch the first few episodes to see for yourself. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 14:27, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, plot summaries are indeed exempt from citation for the most part, but if memory serves me correctly they also shouldn't count towards the 1500 characters, which is my point of contention. Hopefully the DYK veterans can confirm if this is true or not Kingoflettuce (talk) 21:18, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Let me know once you're happy with the state of the article, then I'll review this again :) Kingoflettuce (talk) 21:21, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Kingoflettuce:, I've expanded the article to over 1800 words, providing further production and reception notes. I think its a bit more evolved now. If you could take another look, that'd be great. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:42, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yo, looking much better! That's more like it Jack. I'll review it later. In the meantime though, I'd suggest making the plot section more "encyclopedia-ish". e.g. lines like "Before the episode fades to end credits, the viewer sees the Ring alone in the darkness of space, occasionally shimmering with protomolecule blue and entity red..." feel too conversational (the ellipsis is defo not recommended, for one!). Kingoflettuce (talk) 16:19, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Alright, I think this passes. Article is new and long enough, hook is interesting and supported by a reliable source (didn't think so initially but consensus seems to lean towards Screen Rant as RS). No copyvio detected (Earwig does flag the indiewire source, but you've only quoted the stuff lifted so I think it's fine). QPQ done. There's some minor stylistic things I'd like tweaked but that won't get in the way of a pass. Kingoflettuce (talk) 22:52, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
