Bayern (horse)
edit- ... that American racehorse Bayern (pictured) was named after the soccer team FC Bayern Munich, and is nicknamed "Little Dude" after fellow racehorse Game On Dude?

- Expanded significantly in the week before nomination, easily meets expansion criterion. The Sports Illustrated ref cites the hook. Article shows no signs at all of being "OUTSIDE POLICY". My only beef would be that Bayern Munich is, at worst, an "association football" team, or a "football" team. I'm sure they don't refer to themselves as a "soccer" team (although, to appease the Yankee market, they may even slut themselves out to do that too....). It's all good. (I would also prefer to fix the inline maintenance tags, but that's not strictly part of the DYK criteria). The Rambling Man (talk) 18:49, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Heh, association football is the piped link. In the USA, most people have no clue what "association football" is, we call it "soccer" - "football" to us is gridiron football. I'll get to the tags...Montanabw(talk) 03:48, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
