Bureau of Medical Services, List of U.S. Public Health Service Hospitals
( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
- ... that when the Bureau of Medical Services was ordered to shut down all the U.S. Public Health Service Hospitals, the director of the Seattle hospital (pictured) simply refused to stop admitting patients? Source: [1]

- : There are a lot of redlinks in the lead of Bureau of Medical Services (and both articles are missing short descriptions) but other than that they are really good, and impressive for having only existed a couple of days. I especially like the color-coded marks on the map on the list. The hook is also about 203 characters (maybe "shut down all the" could be replaced with "shut down all"?) Overall, they are both good articles, they meet the qualifications (both were created quite recently, meet character count, are fully cited, and the image is freely licensed as well as being used in the article) and I think the hook is pretty interesting as well. Earwig says that both articles seem fine, as well. {} 06:45, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Jacob Gotts: Thanks for the quick review and the enthusiasm. The redlinks are within policy (see WP:REDYES), and in any case are beyond the scope of a DYK review. Also note Rule C8, the ellipsis and initial space don't count towards the 200 characters, and the (pictured) is generally not counted as well. John P. Sadowski (NIOSH) (talk) 07:18, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- @John P. Sadowski (NIOSH): Changing to "Yes" per all of the stuff you just said being correct. {} 09:59, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Note to promoter: I've provided two versions of the picture; I'm not sure which one works better. John P. Sadowski (NIOSH) (talk) 02:28, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
