- Interesting case, almost more case than person, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. - I am not so happy with the hook, because I think the intro of the prize (good prize but probably unknown) takes away from the immediacy of what he stands for, - which could perhaps be expressed more clearly, no? The image is licensed, but doesn't show too much in stamp size. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:06, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking at it Gerda Arendt! In the "international" LGBT community the prize is very well known. But, I can move it to the end, if that helps. As for specifics about his legal case, isn't that the point, not to come right out and say it so that people look at the article? The case is only one aspect of his activism, but obviously the most noted, as it's the first in the anglo-Caribbean. But, I didn't want to make the hook about the case. The article is about him and the award was given to him for the totality of his work. I don't really know how to crop the photo for DYK purposes. Maybe someone can help? How about:
- ALT1: ...that Caleb Orozco (pictured), who successfully challenged the Belize Criminal Code for violations to his privacy and freedom of expression, won the 2016 David Kato Vision and Voice award? or maybe
- ALT2:
...that Caleb Orozco, a sexual minorities activist, received the 2016 David Kato Vision and Voice Award for his battle to overturn Section 53 of the Belize Criminal Code? SusunW (talk) 17:19, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
