Carlos Cuevas

edit

Converted from a redirect by Hameltion (talk). Self-nominated at 02:58, 7 August 2017 (UTC).

  • Article is correct length, was nominated within hours of creation from redirect, hook is sourced to Spanish media website and is verified (I speak Spanish). Problems: needs QPQ and there is an outstanding ref tag on the page - please resolve this before DYK can move forward. - Jackyd101
  • I've just gone ahead and removed the tag. Almost all of the information in the tables is a part of the prose. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 20:38, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
  • Fair enough, just the QPQ left to do. - Jackyd101
  • At the time of its nomination, I only had 5 credits, but I've also done reviews for their own sake since. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 22:24, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
  • It does say 5 or more, so you still have to do one, but if you've done one since then send me the link and I'll pass this.--Jackyd101 (talk) 22:38, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
  • I meant to say this was my fifth, as I wrote in the above nomination, and I also gave you the link above. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 23:52, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
  • @Jackyd101 and Hameltion: You're both correct. This is Hameltion's 6th QPQ (link, and that doesn't include one pending). However, Ginza Six counts as the QPQ. Marking as approved (Jackyd101, this still counts as your review). --Usernameunique (talk) 01:26, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks for closing this - apologies for missing the piped link in your reply Hameltion. Best - jackyd101
* Hi, I came by to promote this, but I don't see anything about him appearing in 358 episodes in the source (footnote 2). All I see is that the show ran for 365 episodes. Yoninah (talk) 20:51, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
  • This is odd. I can't find any real sources (apart from IMDb, which says 358, and CCMA, which says 365) for his episode count.
  • ccma does say:
  • "Després de 365 episodis, "Ventdelplà" va arribar al seu final, que es va emetre el 17 d'octubre del 2010."
  • "After 365 episodes, "Ventdelpla" will arrive to its finale, which aired 17 October 2010." (my Catalan's not great)
  • I think this isn't his episode count, but rather the series'.
  • I'm inclined to change the hook some, though:
  • @Hameltion: yes, I think ALT1 is a better solution; there are too many numbers in the original hook. Would you consider lopping off one more number?
  • ALT1a: ... that starting at age 9, Carlos Cuevas acted in seven seasons of the Catalan television series Ventdelplà? Yoninah (talk) 22:46, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
  • I guess I don't speak Spanish (or Catalan) after all. I'll cross that off the CV. - Jackyd101
  • That looks great! --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 22:51, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
  • @Hameltion: Thank you. But you know, I don't see seven seasons in the source, either. Doesn't it say that the series started in 2005 and ended in 2010? Yoninah (talk) 23:06, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
  • IMDb has that (there was another season without Cuevas, apparently). I guess there were multiple seasons per year. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 23:23, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
* My issue is that I think there were more than 5 seasons he was in. It could be:
  • Approving ALTc, which is cited inline and sticks closely to the source in terms of facts. --Usernameunique (talk) 22:07, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
