Celia Kaye
- ... that Celia Kaye won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer award in 1965 for her starring role in Island of the Blue Dolphins? Source: "Star of Tomorrow honors went to ... Celia Kaye" also the Golden Globes website

- Comment: It looks like I'll be able to get a much more recent PD image of her to use in the article sometime this weekend. Since neither image really sells the Blue Dolphin/Golden Globe thing, though, I don't know that they're appropriate for DYK. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:50, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
- Interesting life, on good sources. The hook works for me. I agree that the yearbook image isn't really showing her more adult, so will wait for the other. Welcome back to DYK? Please have refs for the films, not IMDb. A few more recommendations for the article which are not needed for an approval: link birth place and Cherokee, replace "Text" in a ref by the title, don't leave all-caps in a ref title. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:47, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: The updated image of her has not yet materialized; I just haven't had the time to sit down with video editing software to get a good screencap. I've fixed the two odd-looking citations you mentioned and relinked Cherokee (another editor had previously unlinked it). I've added refs to her filmography (even added a show which isn't listed on IMDb), but unfortunately a couple of them are still primary sources (the credits of the actual TV episode). I'm still looking for better ones for those. VernoWhitney (talk) 18:42, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
