Chilly McIntosh
edit- ... that Chilly McIntosh became a leading figure in the Creek Nation after he escaped the death penalty for signing an agreement to sell Creek tribal land?
- ALT1:... that Chilly McIntosh was the son of one Creek principal chief, and the nephew of another?
- ALT2:... that, nearly assassinated for agreeing to sell Creek tribal lands, Chilly McIntosh later became a respected and influential figure in the Creek Nation?

- ALT2 checks out. Though correctly worded, the construction of the primary hook could be misconstrued to mean he escaped the death penalty by signing an agreement, etc. The nom phrased the sentence correctly, I just have a feeling two predicates in a sentence is more complex than the average front page reader can digest. All other dimensions of the DYK criteria check out. Great job, Bruin2! (Admin note - this is a non-QPQ review.) LavaBaron (talk) 17:54, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
