Comités Jeanne
edit- ... that Jean-Marie Le Pen, after being excluded from the National Front by his daughter Marine Le Pen in 2015, created the Comités Jeanne, named after Joan of Arc?[1]

- This is an interesting topic, but at the moment it is written without sufficient context. While this may not be a core DYK criterion, common sense says that an article on the main page should be comprehensible to a person without background knowledge. The "creation" section, specifically, needs two to three sentences of background. Vanamonde (talk) 08:29, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
- Comment If I may--this was probably named for Joan of Arc. If you can find an RS, it would make for a hookier DYK.Zigzig20s (talk) 15:20, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: In the absence of response from the article creator, I have added some context. Are you happy with the article now? Would you consider reviewing it as there is quite a scarcity of approved nominations at the moment? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:26, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Sure. The introduction is a lot better. The rest could still use some work. There's one paragraph still without citations, a sentence that is out of date "plans to present etc", and some terms that need more explanation "his association "Cotelec"'. Additionally, I'd suggest that the currently unreferenced paragraph, the "Campaigns" paragraph, and the "ORganisation" paragraph all be merged into a single "organisation and campaigns" section, without subsections, as there's no prose justifying those subsections. - @Vanamonde93: I have made various alterations and I think the article is OK now. I tried to find out more about the party's objectives and policy but failed. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:18, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Sorry, further nitpicking from me; the source, so far as I can tell, links the slogan to Joan of Arc; can you make sure the source says the same about the name, and add that detail? Vanamonde (talk) 09:30, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: Done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:53, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
