Correctional nursing

edit
  • ... that nurses are the primary healthcare providers in correctional settings? Source: [1]

Created by Ifnord (talk). Self-nominated at 00:02, 3 August 2018 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: No - n Each of the four paragraphs talking about the roles are unsourced.
  • Neutral: No - n Article primarily focuses on the roles in the same format as in the Forensic nursing link below.
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: No - n There is plagiarism of this citation with Earwig saying 31.5% possible violation. Some of the sentences are duplicates e.g. "nurses screen inmates entering the facility...and necessity for chronic medications". Hook also closely paraphrases the BioMed reference in the first sentence of the journal article.

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - n not catchy in my opinion as the article name itself suggests the hook

Image eligibility:

QPQ: None required.

Invalid status ""maybe"" - use one of "y", "?", "maybe", "no" or "again"

This is my first DYK review. Please fell free to check it over. Primarily, the sourcing and plagiarism/neutrality are currently the main issues at the moment. The article mainly focuses on the roles of correctional nurses in the same format as the Forensic Nurses website. I think more information that talks about correctional nurses outside of their roles could be useful. On the other hand, there are sourcing and plagiarism issues with the included sources as seen above. I think if these three items are solved first, then the hook and picture could be tweaked afterwards based on the improved content. MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 01:39, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Adding that a certain amount of piping is fine, but this - plain nurse - is too much. Also: the hook subject needs to be bold. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:54, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
