Delfina Gómez Álvarez
edit- ... that Mexican senator Delfina Gómez Álvarez (pictured) competed against one of her colleagues to be named director of a school in Texcoco, State of Mexico? Source: "Ella y una colega con un perfil similar compitieron para ver quien se convertía en directora del Centro escolar público Nezahualcóyotl, en el centro de Texcoco. Delfina ganó más de la mitad de los 36 votos en disputa."
- ALT1:... that Mexican senator Delfina Gómez Álvarez (pictured) entered politics at the urging of a former mayor who later ran for Senate alongside her? Source: Higinio Martínez is mentioned in here but his Senate candidacy is mentioned here. In Mexico, parties nominate two-person slates for Senate.

- Length, references and history verified; copyvio check is OK for a very good reason—all the sources are in Spanish (however just to be on the safe side I checked the Spanish article and it was OK too).
Speaking of the Spanish article, I added the picture from it to ours ... do you want to add it to the nomination? Daniel Case (talk) 03:34, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Daniel Case: Might not be a bad idea. I've also removed "-elect" from the hooks as we are past the swearing in of the new legislature. Raymie (t • c) 16:18, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
