Divya Saxena
- ... that Canadian cricketer Divya Saxena allegedly obstructed the field while batting against the United States but was given "not out"? Source: Canada cricketer allowed to continue her innings after obstructing the field against USA
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Ernest Muir (doctor)
- Comment: Ideally, this hook should be published between 1 and 15 May, when the subject will be playing in the Fairbreak Invitational 2022 Women’s T20 Cricket tournament in Dubai (not (yet) mentioned in the article).

- I notice that this nomination is more than three weeks old, but the QPQ requirement is not complete. Please remember that a QPQ should be completed within a week of the nomination, as per RfC on excessively late supply of QPQ credits. Please do a QPQ promptly. - @Flibirigit: Sorry, I lost track of the time. QPQ now done. Bahnfrend (talk) 14:08, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. A full DYK review is still needed. Flibirigit (talk) 14:38, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Bahnfrend: New enough and long enough. QPQ present. Looks good from a reference standpoint. But I'm really not sure about this hook. From reading the obstructing the field article, this is clearly a very rare event. Our readers that understand cricket will understand why this would have, ahem, sparked a row. But this isn't very obvious to me. Is there a way to reword this in a way that might make it more accessible to readers that don't know the sport and provide some context? Perhaps... - ALT0a: ... that Canadian cricketer Divya Saxena was almost dismissed for allegedly obstructed the field but was ruled "not out"?
- @Sammi Brie: Thanks for your review. Sorry about the slow response. Yes, obstructing the field is very rare, especially in international matches. I suggest the following further modified hook:
- ALT0b: ... that Canadian cricketer Divya Saxena was accused of obstructing the field in an international match but was ruled "not out"?
- Bahnfrend (talk) 02:55, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
- I would be fine with this. I think "accused" captures this well. I still prefer ALT0a myself, but the promoter can choose 0a or 0b. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:30, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
