Overall: ALTs 0, 1 and 2 all check out online. Because ALTs 0 and 1 work in mysterious ways, I would recommend them for 1 April - they're witty. However if you want your DYK now, then ALT2 is the best one for direct hookiness. Thank you for another fascinating article, Flibirigit. DJ was a great man. - Thank you for the review and copyedit. I have inserted the word "disagreement" to avoid any WP:ENGVAR issues with dissention compared to dissension. Flibirigit (talk) 17:59, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
- You have opened an interesting question. As far as I am aware, "dissension" is the usual correct spelling in British and US dictionaries. "Dissention" does occur occasionally online (due to error), although not in dictionaries as far as I know. If you can find it in an American authoritative dictionary, such as Merriam-Webster, that would be enlightening. Of course, "dissention" may have occurred here and there before spelling was standardised in the 18th century. Thank you. Storye book (talk) 19:30, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
