- Hi! This is my first review, so I might mess up here and there. The article is new enough, but the source used to cite the hook fact in the article doesn't seem to actually be on the webpage provided. Let me know if I missed that on this website. Also note: I changed your hook to "Rwandan genocide" and linked it.

- @Awsomaw: Hi, I'm just patrolling the old nominations section and saw this review. If you edit a hook significantly, as you did here, please post it as a new alt – in this case, ALT1. Frankly, I don't understand the hook the way it's written. It would be better to find a different fact from the article and write it in a hooky way. Best, Yoninah (talk) 23:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, looking back at my first DYK review here, it seems like the article doesn't actually meet WP:GNG, and the nominator is a student who is no longer contributing. I have left a message on the instructor's talk page, and will see if it is salvagable. Awsomaw (talk) 17:10, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- Looks like it's time to close this nomination as unsuccessful. Yoninah (talk) 11:52, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
