  • ... that the Eugénie hat (pictured) designed for the last French empress became a sensation in the early 1930s?
  • ALT1:... that the Eugénie hat (pictured) was named after the last empress of France?

  • What a smashing article! Easily long enough, recently created, ticks all the boxes on poliy compliance, no copyvios found (using Earwig's tool). Images are all PD and tagged correctly as such; the one supplied here meets the requirements for DYK. Hook is okay, though I much prefer the alt; both are supported by reliable sources. QPQ is unneccessary (article creator has only had one previous DYK), so no issues there. Let's get this rather lovely new article on the Main Page, please. Yunshui  13:29, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
Amazing article! It is no secret Wikipedia needs more fashion-related content, and this is a prime example. I'd have to disagree with Yunshui, however, as I find the original hook much more interesting or, at the very least, more substantial. Surtsicna (talk) 21:17, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
I'd rather see this promoted than argue about the hook, so to save re-reviewing, I'll happily let the final decision go to whoever ends up moving it to the prep queue. Either is fine with me. Yunshui  06:54, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
