- Comment: ALT 2 is a condensed ALT 1.
Created/expanded by Vycl1994 (talk). Self-nominated at 22:46, 19 March 2019 (UTC).
- The lead is too short. In the original hook "state legislature" must be replaced by "state legislature of US". RRD (talk) 17:07, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- ALT3: that Felipe Reinoso was the first Peruvian-American to serve in any U.S. state legislature? Source: "On November 7, 2000, Felipe Reinoso became the first Peruvian-American in United States history to be elected as a legislator." (Congressional Record same source, different link)
- The article lede now mentions Reinoso's tenure on the Connecticut House, and his election to the Peruvian legislature. ALT3 above specifies U. S. state legislature in addition to the wikilink state legislature (United States) that was already present. Vycl1994 (talk) 17:39, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Vycl1994: The lead claims that he was born in circa 1950. However, there is no source for it in the article. I have also added a when tag to the article. The article needs a little copyedit also. RRD (talk) 07:04, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Royroydeb: The biographical sketch attached to Reinoso's interview with Reyes states "Reinoso was born in Peru and immigrated to Connecticut in 1969" Keating, Pazniokas, and Lender (2008) states "Rep. Felipe Reinoso, a Bridgeport Democrat, flew back from his native Peru - where he lived for 19 years before moving to Connecticut".... Both references are linked to the sentence "Reinoso and his family immigrated to the United States in 1969, settling in Bridgeport, Connecticut." at the moment. - @Vycl1994 and Royroydeb: This has been stuck since April, please move forward with the discussion, thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:39, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sources I mentioned in my last post on this page are still accessible, support statements made in the article, and remain in position on the article itself. Every statement in the article body is sourced. If something is still not right, I welcome Royroydeb or any reviewer to let me know. The newest addition to the article is a barebones infobox, added by me, just prior to this edit. Vycl1994 (talk) 07:39, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
It has been almost a month since the last comment. This nomination still has not received a proper DYK policy review. I have added the symbol for a new review to hopefully attract some attention. Flibirigit (talk) 04:09, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
General: Article is new enough and long enough |

Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems |

Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation |

QPQ: Done. |
Overall: New enough (March 17) when nominated (March 19), long enough (2688 characters), well sourced, neutral, and nothing significant on EarWig. QPQ is done. All ALT hooks are interesting and cited. I prefer ALT 1 and ALT 2 as more extra-ordinary but ALT 1 is more banal than it seems. I have struck ALT0 for failing to have a global POV. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 23:07, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
@Vycl1994: I apologize on behalf of the community for the unnecessary delay and encumbrance you have experienced on this routine nomination. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 23:07, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Flibirigit and Coffeeandcrumbs: Thanks for giving this nomination its final boost. I left it for so long because I wasn't sure if it would be considered a mistake for me, the nominator, and not an uninvolved reviewer, to tag in any way. Vycl1994 (talk) 03:25, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
