- Suggest this captures the very catchy bit and avoids the implication in the original hook that lots of others were executed for this reason and poor George was the first Victuallers (talk) 08:15, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

No evidence of plagarism from the sources available on Google Books (although the first reference was behind a pay wall and unavailable for me to check, and some pages in the books used were similarly unavailable).
