Gloria Lizárraga de Capriles
- ... that when elected as mayor, Venezuelan politician Gloria Lizárraga de Capriles did not have an own office and worked from a shopping mall? Source: "la primera sede de la Alcaldía de Baruta operó en el tercer piso del centro comercial Plaza Las Américas, en un local con sillas alquiladas y cajas en lugar de archiveros y escritorios.
- ALT1: ... that due to the lack of funds, Venezuelan mayor Gloria Lizárraga de Capriles had to ask for the early payment of taxes to pay the payroll of her workers? Source: "debido a la falta de recursos, se vio en la necesidad de llamar a las empresas ubicadas en el municipio para que adelantaran el pago de sus impuestos y así poder cancelar las nóminas de su personal obrero."

- Long enough, new enough. On a history making individual. Inline citations throughout. Fairly neutral although it highlights her achievements as the article is mainly sourced from her obits. I made a few copy-edits for clarity but a couple of sentences are still unclear. I checked with the Google translation of the Eldiario Spanish source but the translation confused me more. Anyway, I added a couple of pointers in the sentences. Please clarify them.
- As for the hooks, I prefer the main hook better than ALT1. I'd tweak it to something like:
- ... that after elected as mayor of Baruta, Venezuelan politician Gloria Lizárraga de Capriles had to work out of a shopping mall? Hybernator (talk) 21:36, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Hybernator: Many thanks! The main hook essentially either means that Gloria did not have an own office to work in (hence why she needed to operate from a place in a shopping mall) or that her office was said place in the mall. I was worried about this translation too and I wasn't sure which one would be better, or would covey the closest meaning. NoonIcarus (talk) 22:41, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @NoonIcarus:, thanks for clarifying the points. I made a tweak for further clarity. And the main hook is interesting and cited; I still suggest tightening it a bit. The DYK admin team here can help. GTG. Hybernator (talk) 04:44, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
