- ALT1:... that director Mike Newell initially wanted to make an adaptation of Charles Dickens' Dombey and Son, but ended up working on Great Expectations instead? Miyagawa (talk) 20:50, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- Note that the film hasn't opened yet, and so currently doesn't have a fleshed out plot section as theres nothing to say exactly how its been adapted (initial reviews from the Toronto Film Festival suggest they've changed the ending so that it's neither of the two previous endings). Likewise, I haven't added a review section as most the reviews will be posted towards the end of this week - Rotten Tomatoes gives it a score 60%, but from 6 reviews... I'd expect it to have at least twenty to thirty reviews and so the percentage will change drastically. Miyagawa (talk) 20:50, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
