edit- ... that Gura in Eritrea was the site of a Confederate general's defeat by the Emperor of Ethiopia, wrecking Egyptian hegemony over the entire region?
- ALT1:... that Gura in Eritrea was the site of the top-secret Project 19, an American base that repaired British airplanes damaged in World War II's North African Campaign, prior to US entry into the war?
- ALT2:... that golf balls may be lifted from bomb craters and trenches without penalty in Gura, Eritrea?
- ALT3:... that the ex-Confederate general Loring Pasha blamed his defeat at Gura, Eritrea—which cost Egypt control over the entire region—on his "inept" commander, despite having been directly responsible for the order to face the Ethiopians in the open?
- ALT4:... that Gura in Eritrea was the site of the tank battle ending that nation's war of independence against Ethiopia?
- ALT5:... that a baboon stealing your golf ball does not occasion a penalty in Gura, Eritrea?

- New enough, long enough, cited enough, and just a great article overall. But I'm torn between ALT2 and ALT4... I steer toward 4 but that's just me. Maury Markowitz (talk) 17:41, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- One minor point: if we choose one of the ALTs we should also change the image. There's suitable images for pretty much all of them. Maury Markowitz (talk) 17:46, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
