Hassan Shateri
edit... that Hassan Shateri (pictured), a senior commander of Iran's Quds Force, was an assassination target and "men suspected of planning an attack" against him had been arrested?

- Nominated within time, well written, length is good enough, hook is interesting and cited, and QPQ is not given. Just need a QPQ done to mark a tick. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 08:30, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Captain Assassin!: Thanks for your review. I've already done that. Mhhossein (talk) 12:29, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't get the ping. It's good to go. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 16:21, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- If this is supposed to be a biographical page, it does not meet start-class status. It seems it should be called Assassination of Hassan Shateri, because that's all it talks about. Yoninah (talk) 22:06, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yoninah: You're right, I'll add some details of his early life so that we can consider it a biography. --Mhhossein (talk) 01:58, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yoninah: You can see if the job is done. Mhhossein (talk) 06:55, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Mhhossein: Thank you. The two paragraphs under "Life" need a little polishing for English grammar, and the first paragraph needs at least one cite, per Rule D2. Yoninah (talk) 11:32, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Done, is it OK? --Mhhossein (talk) 12:46, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Mhhossein: Yes. I did a few more tweaks, and it looks good now. No close paraphrasing seen. Image is freely-licensed. Since I edited out most of the quotes, I suggest this ALT:
- ALT1:
*... that Hassan Shateri (pictured), a senior commander of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards who had been an assassination target for some time, was killed by an alleged airstrike in Syria in February 2013?Yoninah (talk) 17:09, 1 May 2016 (UTC)- @Yoninah: Every thing looks good, but one thing is missed here. Per this source, and probably other sources, he is alleged to be killed by an IAF airstrike. So, can we say he was certainly shot dead? I don't think so. --Mhhossein (talk) 17:49, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

@Yoninah: Very nice and accurate, thanks. So, I suggest the modified version of your ALT1:
ALT2: ... that Hassan Shateri (pictured), a senior commander of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards who had been an assassination target for some time, was killed by an alleged IAF airstrike in Syria in February 2013?
- I don't see any difference between ALT1 and ALT2, but whatever. New reviewer needed to complete this nomination. Yoninah (talk) 11:32, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- IAF is added to the hook, as you see. Anyway, thanks for your valuable cooperation Yoninah. --Mhhossein (talk) 12:28, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

- I don't think any of the hooks will do because the air strike is only one of several allegations and there is no more reason for it to be in the hook than any other. If a more general hook is proposed, perhaps ALT2 with the omission of "by an alleged IAF airstrike", I will be happy to review it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:20, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth: We'll act based on your query which seems reasonable to me. --Mhhossein (talk) 15:11, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
-
ALT2a: ... that Hassan Shateri (pictured), a senior commander of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards who had been an assassination target for some time, was killed in Syria in February 2013?
- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are supported by inline citations and the image is properly licensed. The article is neutral and does not seem to include close paraphrasing or other copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:29, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
