@Mortee: There are a few questions I have with the article. First, the date format in the article is inconsistent: the lede uses DMY but the infobox uses MDY. The article is also inconsistent with date formats in the rest of the article. There should be consistency in the article: as the article is about an American subject, I would suggest using MDY throughout the article. Second, the hook is sourced but doesn't sound that interesting by itself to be honest: I would suggest adding his being investigated by the FBI to the hook. The career section also feels short and could easily be a single paragraph instead of a series of one-line paragraphs. Finally, it appears that this is your first (or second?) DYK nomination so no QPQ is needed: nevertheless, I would suggest that next time, until you are required to do QPQ, you need to clarify during your nominations that you are not yet eligible for mandatory QPQ. Hi Narutolovehinata5, thank you very much for your review. Good point about dates. I've gone back through to consistently use MDY. I've also added ALT1 as a hook mentioning the FBI investigation at your suggestion. Personally I prefer the version without it, but I'm happy to use either. I agree with you that the career section is still too short. I'll see about expanding it. I've also combined the first two lines of that section into one paragraph, but I've left the other two sentences separate since they're on quite different topics from one another. And I've added a note about QPQ to this nomination. One other article of mine was nominated and this is my first active nomination. I've not yet reviewed anyone else's because I don't yet feel comfortable passing judgement on one. Mortee (talk) 18:40, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
I've made some changes to the article. Nothing radical, but I'd appreciate a second review. Mortee (talk) 19:56, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
@Mortee: All of my concerns have been addressed. This should be good to go. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 22:15, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I have two questions. I edited the lead and moved the cite out of the lead and into the body of the article. However, while the cite says he wrote 15 books, 18 are listed in the Bibliography. Second, the lead should state his notability, which it doesn't at present. Yoninah (talk) 19:52, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Yoninah thank you for both comments. I've added to the lead. Let me know if you think that needs more work. I've also gone through the bibliography more thoroughly and, I think, corrected the inconsistency appropriately. It may be that the resulting 'articles' section of the bibliography should be expanded, though; it looks a bit bare with just the two long articles about SBTS in it. What do you think? • Thank you. The lead looks ok now. Having only 2 "selected" articles is fine; I formatted these sources and removed the cite, which is not necessary for a book list. (I moved the cite to Further Reading; feel free to delete it if you wish.) Similarly, you should remove the cites and format the book titles under Books, using WP:Citation templates. However, this will not hold up the DYK. Restoring tick per Narutolovehinata5's review. Yoninah (talk) 21:52, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Great! I've put the books in citation templates now and will pass through them again at a later stage to fill in more details about publishers, ISBNs etc. Thanks for your help. Mortee (talk) 22:21, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
