Holy Island War Memorial
edit- ... that Holy Island War Memorial snapped into two as a result of exceptional winds in the winter of 1983–4?

- Everything looks fine. New, long, neutral, sourced, interesting, QPQ done and the image looks okay. Good to go. Yash! 02:56, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- My apologies. HJ Mitchell, ref #1 doesn't mention the shaft getting snapped into two (or did I miss something?). Is it mentioned in ref #2? Yash! 03:04, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Yash!: Ref #1 (Historic England) says "Following storm damage which broke the shaft in the winter of 1983-4, the top of the memorial was replaced"; Ref #2 (Skelton) goes into more detail: "the [memorial] at Holy Island was snapped in two during hurricane force winds in the winter of 1983–4".
