Hurricane Alex
edit- ... that Hurricane Alex in 2016 was the first hurricane to impact the Azores since Gordon in 2012?
- ALT1:... that Hurricane Alex in 2016 was the first Atlantic hurricane to make landfall in January since Alice in 1955?
- Reviewed: The Glory Brigade
- Comment: Opting to avoid using the (at the time of this nomination) redundant hook of "first Atlantic hurricane to form in January since 1938" as that's the ITN blurb for this storm. The proposed hooks are less well-known facts about the system but equally interesting, in my opinion.
