Information Technology Park, Nepal

  • Hi Ascii002, thanks for nominating this for DYK. However, we have several rules regarding articles nominated, one of which (#2) states Articles must have a minimum of 1,500 characters of prose (ignoring infoboxes, categories, references, lists, and tables etc). Therefore, the fact that the article only has 432 characters at the minute is a problem. If however, you can get the article to 1500 characters or greater in the next week I will continue with the review. Thanks, Matty.007 14:49, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok. I will be working on it and will surely complete it within 2 days. — Ascii002 Let's talk! Contribs 15:00, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Looks like a good start. Just leave a message on my talk page when you're ready for me to take another look. Thanks, Matty.007 16:37, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Long enough, new enough, well referenced, not a stub, hook supported with refs 1 and 2 (1 didn't work, but definitely in 2). Not a requirement, but please can you source the sentence "It has been said to be providing employment opportunities to about 15000 technicians after the full range of operations of the IT Park. It has aimed to provide government services by maximizing the use of Information and technology."? No QPQ needed as (as far as I can tell), first nom, neutral. Will check for copyvio soon. Apart from that sentence, I would just like to give it a quick copyedit and check for any copyvios before it's all good. Thanks, Matty.007 12:12, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
Just a bit of clarification, no copyvios found on spotchecks. How much did it cost, there are three different amounts stated in the article? Thanks, Matty.007 13:13, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
Initially when it was started (2003), 270 million was invested. By 2007, total amount reached 290 million and reached 500 million by 2013. — Ascii002 Let's talk! Contribs 13:32, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
It's not perfect by any means, but I can't seen an issue in the rules that could hold it up. Thanks, Matty.007 06:46, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Hi! Sorry to spoil the mood. But the current hook has repetitive wording and isn't disambiguating properly. Hence proposing ALT now. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 04:48, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
ALT1 ... that the Information Technology Park of Kavre is the only IT park in Nepal?
Not sure what you mean by not disambiguating properly, all the links appear fine. Thanks, Matty.007 07:58, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Yeah... there is no problem with the links. I meant that "... that the IT park is the only IT park in Nepal" is odd wording where by adding "of Panauti", the subject IT park is disambiguated. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 08:30, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Alt 1 good to do, just added 'the' at the start. Thanks, Matty.007 09:24, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for Alt 1 but rather than using "of Panauti", its good if we use "of Kavre" as its location is widely popular by the district (Kavre).— Ascii002 Let's talk! Contribs 13:22, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

This might be a bit snappier:

    • All still good to go, but as Antony said, Alt2 is probably snappiest. Thanks, Matty.007 11:58, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
