It Came Out of the Sky
edit- ... that Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1969 song "It Came Out of the Sky" was one of the first to criticize Ronald Reagan? "'It Came out of the Sky' showed John's prescience as a songwriter, taking one of the first musical swipes at Ronald Reagan, then the governor of California"; Bordowitz (2007)

- Article is new enough, long enough, and there are no obvious copyvios, though there is a lengthy quotation starting "a metaphor for an idea....." The hook is sourced to the Google Books preview, and verified there. Despite being reasonably familiar with Credence's work (they had the misfortune to play at Woodstock and then being upstaged immediately after by The Who performing Tommy at full blast, with the sun rising at exactly the right time), I didn't know this fact, so that makes it a good hook.
