Source: The New Yorker: "When Ben Hecht ghost-wrote Marilyn Monroe’s memoir, Chambrun sold a scandalous passage to a London tabloid for a thousand pounds with neither Monroe nor Hecht’s permission."

  • Comment: Fourth nomination, QPQ kicks in on the next one. New article on a disgraced (non-BLP) but fascinating literary agent whose New Yorker article I stumbled across while researching a Virginia Woolf story. This guy seems to have been absolutely everywhere; if this hook doesn't work for you there are many more colorful possibilities from that New Yorker article alone.
