Jamaica at the 1988 Winter Olympics
edit- ... that following the elimination of the US ice hockey team at the 1988 Winter Olympics, broadcasters filled airtime with the exploits of the bobsleigh team from Jamaica?

- Comment: I know, I got distracted by a Winter Olympic article. As it's a Winter Games one and not a Summer, I don't mind if this runs during the 2012 Games or not. Miyagawa (talk) 16:33, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

- Length and date are fine. The source for the hook fact doesn't seem like the best, it's certainly not independent, but is that really the most interesting hook we can manage from the article anyway? Perhaps something about the film Cool runnings or that it was Jamaica's first ever Winter Olympic team? - Basement12 (T.C) 17:44, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- How about Alt1:... that the 1988 Winter Olympics saw the first appearance of a Jamaican team at a Winter Olympics, and would go on to inspire the movie Cool Runnings? Miyagawa (talk) 20:44, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- Alt1 works for me. Hook is ready to be run whenever - Basement12 (T.C) 20:51, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
