- This hook was directly added to the Special Occasions holding area for May 4 without a proper template, transclusion, or review. I have gone ahead and nominated it for the IP user. Requesting IAR on the newness of this nomination; the article was created on April 9 and posted at DYK on April 18. Yoninah (talk) 22:20, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- This article is long enough and is sufficiently new to be acceptable for DYK. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright problems. I have added ALT1 which I think preferable. For use on May 4th, which is apparently Anti-bullying Day. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:03, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth thanks for the review. I struck the first alt. Yoninah (talk) 22:35, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
- Returned from prep for new hook per discussion at WT:DYK#Prep 2 - suicide link. Yoninah (talk) 00:37, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- ALT2 - ... that professional wrestler Jerry London worked in the main event of both the first and second EMLL 33rd anniversary show three weeks apart?
- Yoninah - That's probably the only really notable hook I can find in the article. MPJ-DK 13:51, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- MPJ-DK. OK. But it doesn't sound so interesting to a non-aficionado. What do you think about:
- ALT3: ... that journeyman professional wrestler Jerry London's career took him to Eastern Canada, the Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Southwestern regions of the United States, and Mexico? Yoninah (talk) 22:34, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- The overarching problem is indeed that he was generally a "journeyman" wrestler, who outside of Mexico had very little success and honestly while in Mexico was only built up to lose a high profile hair vs. hair match. I'm okay with the ALT3, not sure it'll get past the "this is boring" patrollers, but let's open the ALT3 up for review. MPJ-DK 23:23, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- This nomination seems to have stalled. Both ALT2 and ALT3 are acceptable. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:59, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
