- ALT1:... that because of John Beaumont, 1st Viscount Beaumont's loyalty to the Lancastrian king, Henry VI, the House of York declared him to be their mortal enemy?

Recent GA. Referenced and hook is also cited. No neutrality or copyright issues suspected. QPQ not needed. However, none of the suggested hook flow well. Might I suggest:

ALT2:... that John Beaumont, 1st Viscount Beaumont was knighted by an eight-year old king in 1429?
