- New enough and long enough when it was nominated. Eligible per rule 1d, as it only appeared in "Recent deaths" section of ITN. Neutral, fully sourced with inline citations, spot checks show no close paraphrasing and Earwig throws up no issues (shows potential violation, but this is due to a stats table, and there aren't too many ways to make those different). Hooks are in the article, sourced, and of a good length. It would have been nice to see some hooks about his professional career too, but there we go. This one is ready.
